Scion Of A Noble Family

Post by Karen on Sun 25 Jul 2010 - 13:20

Whitechapel Dramatized.

"Jacques le Ventreur," "Jack the Ripper," is the name of the play which was produced Friday night at the Chateau de Au, with enormous success. It is the most horrible piece ever played on a French stage. It deals, of course, with the Whitechapel murders, and in the most horrible, realistic manner. Some of the situations are shocking, and would be tolerated in no other country but this. The most prominent character in the play is the head of the New York police, who eventually succeeds in unearthing "Jack the Ripper," who is the scion of a noble family who has vowed vengeance on the unfortunates of London, as his life had been ruined by one of them.
