Andrews Makes The Discovery

Post by Karen on Wed 26 May 2010 - 22:50

New Tidings.

A new murder from Jack the Ripper. Tuesday night, at one in the morning, the policeman Andrews in Whitechapel, London, found the corpse of a woman, who was maimed in that terrible way in full compliance with the manner in which the previous murders by Jack the Ripper were committed, so there is now no doubt that this is another victim of the bloodthirsty killer. The corpse was still warm when found, the neck and right breast were as good as cut off. The murder was committed in the same small vicinity as the previous ones took place. The victim was of middle age and by birth belonged to that class, leading to the lowest level of morality. The killer was disturbed in his work, because the intestines were not taken from the body, which was separated from the previous victims, the corpse was still warm and the blood flowed from the wounds, when it was discovered. The policeman, who had mad the discovery, was a watchman in a warehouse in the vicinity where the murder was committed, but he had not heard the slightest noise. The only object that the murderer had left was an old clay pipe, which was stained with blood and found beside the body. The victim's name was Alice Mackenzie and would habitually abuse liquor. After the discovery of the corpse was made, in a moment the whole police force in Whitechapel was set on foot but the murderer has so far not been found.
