The Bear Bones In Guildford

Post by Karen on Tue 11 May 2010 - 19:47

Mr. De Keyser, the Lord Mayor of London, who dwells in Brussels, was interviewed there by a reporter about the mysterious murders in Whitechapel. Mr. De Keyser states that the murderer is a madman, and that as soon as he commits a new murder he will be captured or take his own life in the same way he slay his victims. And - said the Lord Mayor - Mark my words he will do this with the same knife with which he committed the crimes. The police, however, are worried that the criminal, now that Whitechapel is so closely guarded, will choose another district to be the scene of his crimes. Therefore, everywhere, and especially in the parks, are strictly monitored. However, most detectives are still in the East End, where they keep watch day and night since it's been two weeks already that the policemen have been checked in service. In a very comical way, the discovery in Guildford has been elucidated. As anyone knows, a bone was found there, and naturally thought at first, that another victim of Whitechapel had been found. It now appears however, that the body belonged to a bear. A gentleman who lived nearby, was in Russia a collector of bear bones as presents. He let it boil, but then threw it away, after the Russian roasted and ate him. This is at least reported from London to the Paris Herald.
