Warren Was Dismissed

Post by Karen on Mon 10 May 2010 - 23:45

The English government has chosen to dismiss the head of the London police, Sir Charles Warren. The minister of internal affairs, Matthews, referred to the House of Commons this message and was greeted by applause by all parties. Sir Charles who was asked by a journalist, said he is released from any responsibility should it have quite possibly justified. Yet he announced that he had already informed the police that carrying out their task was hampered by the surveillance, which the minister of internal affairs, to whom the police department serves, has always exercised. The Minister gave the orders, but nevertheless the chief of police of the government was responsible for the crimes which were committed in London. You have resigned because of the murders in Whitechapel? "No," said Sir Charles violently. I already sent my request for release on the 8th of November, immediately after the Minister Matthews in the House of Commons had spoken on my most innocent article about the police. "Have you heard anything about the murderer?" No, we still follow all the traces. So far we have received 1400 letters and any idea about the handwriting given to us, was scrutinized. So, for example someone advised us of a certain canal at some point to consider. We did this, but found nothing. "People talk about it as if we have done nothing. A slaughterhouse is under control and still has the police involved to follow track, which has not been proven false. " A new track, which is uncertain is now designated in Bern. From there, they remember someone, a Russian named Nicolaus Wassili, for 16 years such women murders were committed in Paris, but after his guilt was proved, he was not executed because the doctors declared him insane. Vasili was placed in a mental asylum, but in January he was released because his condition proved his detention was no longer justified. The presumption is therefore suggested that this madman has gone to London and there is residing. At the moment he is still a bad person because of suspicions made against him were raised in appeal. The man's explanation does not sufficiently clarify how he spent the last few days. The police have all the dormitories in Dorset Street investigated, but without result. Ont clean the street is not large, it turned out that in the dorms they find there every night 1200 people without names. He ensures that the tracking dogs are not looking, but the police did not want to use them too much. Time had passed since the commission of the murder and since then too many people - doctors and agents - had been in the room. The owner of the house where the murdered woman had taken her move has received a letter, signed "Jack the Ripper," which states: "Stay calm. I'm planning to commit another murder, but now I want a mother and a daughter." This letter, like the previous writings of Jack the Ripper, has been handed to the police. In the Commons, Minister Matthews states that the government has no trouble to detect the murderer, but a bonus for discovering the criminal would not be honoring Sir William Harcourt. In 1884, this system ended and the succession of Ministers have always followed the same line. That no one has yet discovered the murderer is, according to the minister, not due to the incorrect installation of the police, but only to the extraordinary acuteness with which the man knows his criminal plans to carry out.
