A House In Berner Street

Post by Karen on Tue 27 Apr 2010 - 19:41

Jack the Ripper, the murderer of Whitechapel, still remains strictly incognito, and police continue to search for him but without success. Sir Charles Warren has taken a test with bloodhounds, but in the parks the leader lost track, so how could they trace in the alleyways of Whitechapel to find the Ripper? One has to implement this idea apart and starts to lose courage, to find the murderer. It is hoped that after a seventh murder he will be caught, a sad future for the intended victim.
The London police are now guarding with great care a house in the East End, that is believed to have been the home of a man in relation to the Whitechapel murders. According to the story of neighbors, the owner of a guesthouse who, since Sunday morning, after the recent killings has disappeared. They say that the stranger came home early on Sundays, and woke up his landlady. This was very early on and she saw that her guest had changed clothes. He said he had to leave for some time, and asked her to wash the shirt he had taken right off his back. The woman did not pay much attention to that detail, and a few moments later, when she took the shirt in her hands, she was very surprised, as the sleeves were full of blood. That seemed very strange to her, and when she had learned of the, she had suspicions. One of her neighbors warned the police, and gave the shirt in their hands. They also gave one as complete a description as possible of the stranger that has disappeared. In the last fortnight it was expected that he would return, but he has not appeared. Day and night four policemen stay in the house that several outputs in the neighboring streets. Police have received a message that the discovery of further clues of the murderer may result. An Austrian sailor is aboard a ship in the Tyne, which is a French port under sail, the crew signed, and his writing corresponds to the facsimiles of letters signed Jack the Ripper, more importantly, his physical description is the same as that of the supposed criminal. The assumption of mainly ground police, when taking into account the location of that house, in the immediate vicinity of the place in Berner Street, where the murder was committed, and through a maze of streets and corridors. An examination of the surrounding areas has proved that throughout Whitechapel there is no house, where a criminal could so easily escape from the hands of the police. In the investigation, one witness said, the morning of the murder at the corner of Fairclough and Berner Street a man and a woman were seen. If the assumption that the man is the murderer, is correct, he could in an instant reach the house referred to since he just had to walk to the entrance, located almost opposite the spot where the body was discovered.
