Jack The Ripper.
London, February 13.

And ten! The monster that popular voice has dubbed Jack the Ripper has just committed a new crime. After eighteen months of tranquility we write to Talk, Whitechapel is again plunged into consternation at the idea that despite all precautions, surveillance, the special district in which this subject is a bold offense can start his terrible crimes with impunity. It is perhaps too early to say with impunity, but the London police did not shine in the nine previous occasions and it is unlikely that it stands more this time and finally puts its hand on Jack the Ripper. That is, if we believe, in effect, that the monster is the author of the new murder discovered this morning. Everything seems to indicate it: the location, time, how it was carried out, her throat cut from a single mighty blow by a skilful hand, the class to which the victim belonged, these are exactly the same circumstances in which the other murders have been committed in Whitechapel. There is only one difference. The body has not been the subject of vicious mutilation recorded on the other occasions, was that the murderer did not have time to spend on his victim because he was prevented by the arrival of a policeman that occurred even before the murdered woman had pushed the last breath. This unfortunate woman was a prostitute of the lowest class, named Frances, who was known in the neighborhoods surrounding the Tower of London, under the name of Carrotty Nell. This woman was seen just a few moments before the crime, that is to say between an hour and a half to two hours of the morning by an employee of the railroad. She was accompanied by a man who looked like a foreigner and appeared to be a driver of steamer. Moving in this direction, the police actively searched all the Spanish ships at this time in the port of London. On the other hand, , the corpse of Carrotty Nell, a discovery that may lead to the capture of the culprit was found a woman's hat, also one of the beggar was killed. It was concluded that the crime might well be committed by a woman or a man dressed as a woman. Finally, was arrested this morning a suspicious looking man, but so far no evidence that he is the culprit who is being sought. Here, finally, are the list of murders of Whitechapel:

1st Christmas 1887, unknown woman;
2nd August 7, 1888, woman Turner;
3rd August 31, woman Nichols;
4th September 7th, woman Chapman;
5th September 30, woman Stride;
6th 30 September woman Eddowes;
7th November 9, woman Kelly;
8th July 17, 1889, woman Mackenzie;
9th September 10, unknown woman;
10th February 13, 1891, woman Frances, nicknamed Carrotty Nell.
