Leman Street's Antics

"Threw Him Out Like a Dog."

A man named Matthews, an ex-police-constable of the H Division, applied to Mr. Plowden, at the Thames police-court, for summonses against Inspector Thresher and Sergeant Page for breaking two of his ribs. In answer to the magistrate Matthews said he went to Leman-street Police-station to collect some money due to him, and while there the inspector
threw him out like a dog. Mr. Plowden said the charges would have to be inquired into, and granted the summonses.
