Ripper Found On Woman's Sofa

"Jack the Ripper" Makes His Appearance in Montreal.

And Threatens to Murder a Baker's Wife - He Elude the Police - The Doctor in the Charlton Abortion Case a Raving Maniac - The Toronto Park Agreement Ratified.

"Jack the Ripper" Again.

MONTREAL, Nov. 27. - When the wife of Joseph Cloran, a baker of McCord street, awoke this morning at 5:30, she found a man lying on the sofa in the sitting room. She hastened to telephone for the police, and then demanded the man's business. He suddenly jumped up and drawing a knife from his hip pocket, he remarked: "I am Jack the Ripper, and if you don't keep quiet I'll silence you." Hearing a noise on the front stairs, the individual rushed through the rear door and escaped, just as four policemen entered the house. A search was instituted in the yard by the officers but no "Ripper" could be found.

Also found in this article is the following. Finucane is a name familiar to readers of my second book, "Jack the Ripper:The Satanic Team." A female member of the Finucane family named Louisa was the wife of the Baron of Inchiquin, who was an O'Brien. O'Brien is the name of Mary Jane (the woman who was not killed in Miller's Court.)

LONDON, Nov. 26. - As John Finucane, member for East Limerick, was entering the house of commons this evening, six summonses was served upon him to answer charges of violating the crimes act, and detectives were waiting at the entrances to serve similar writs on other Parnellite members.
