Body Parts Found In Regent's Canal

Post by Karen on Sun 17 Oct 2010 - 22:22

A GHASTLY MYSTERY.

A grim discovery was made in the Regent's Canal on Monday evening, the left leg and right hand and arm of a woman being found under the arch where the Cambridge Heath-road crosses it. The limbs were wrapped in a thick, coarse material and looked as if they had been in the water for several days. They were immediately taken charge of by the police and conveyed to the Hackney Mortuary. No other portion of the body has yet been found, although the canal has been dragged.

A Cadaver?

Post by Karen on Wed 23 Mar 2011 - 2:00

What at first promised to be another Jack the Ripper sensation was caused in London yesterday morning by the discovery of a woman's arm and leg wrapped in canvas on the Regent's canal. Search was begun for the body to which the limbs had belonged but later examinations of the fragments indicate the probability that they are part of some medical student's "cadaver."
